    THE MODEL
The Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, developed in 1983 during the manufacturer's financial struggles, became a symbol of resilience. A powerful rally car, it usually featured a Gris Winchester body with a red trim and a potent 1.8L XU 4-cylinder turbo engine. The "série 200" version, exemplified by this car, played a crucial role in Peugeot's racing success, winning the Gr. B Championship in 1985 and 1986.

Known for its distinctive design, performance, and limited production, the 205 Turbo 16 remains an iconic representation of Peugeot's prowess in motorsports during a pivotal era.

    THIS SPECIFIC CAR
The 205 Turbo 16 presented here is exceptional for several reasons. It is part of the "série 200," bearing the coveted number 33, signifying its early production.

While most Turbo 16s featured Gris Winchester, this one is among the rare units painted in Blanc Nacré. History claims that 4 white-painted units were reserved for Jean Boillot (then president of Peugeot), Didier Pironi, André de Cortanze, and Jean Todt. It can even be assumed that the latter, then director of Peugeot Talbot Sport, initiated the creation of these 4 units.

The car's original registration under Automobiles Peugeot in Paris and subsequent ownership by a brand engineer in Doubs, marked by the visible number "33" on all windows, contribute to its unique provenance. It also seems that the engine has been slightly tuned and now produces 230 hp instead of the original 200 hp. With a documented history, preserved original documents, and just 9,900 original kilometres, this particular 205 Turbo 16 remains in impeccable condition.
